Our local Harley Owners Group was formed in 1986. We are sponsored by Shiawassee Sports Center in Birch Run, Michigan. The owner is Ken Galazin who took over in December of 2012.
Our H.O.G. Chapter is a very active group of riders who enjoy the common bond of their love for their Harleys and the passion of riding them!
We stay busy year around with many activities. We hold Chapter meetings monthly during the non-riding season. In February we have a Competition Bowling Party with other Local Chapters. In March we have our Chapter Chili Cook-Off. May brings us some long awaited warm weather that starts up our Riding Season with our Wednesday Night Dinner and Friday Morning Breakfast rides. We have these alternating weeks and follow the leaders to some wonderful restaurants for meals with good company! Beginning in 2007, we added Ice Cream Runs! Check our monthly calendar for the next one.
In the Spring and again in the Fall, we have a wk-end touring trip with a different destination or theme every year: MI Route 66 was one of the first ones. We all enjoy the fun in July at the State Rally. Our Annual Mystery Ride comes 'round the end of July with the proceeds going to a local charity. Fall brings our Ladies of Harley Picnic or Progressive Dinner with lots of yummy food. In October we have our Toys for Tots. "Turkey Time" rolls around in November and we have a wonderful Potluck Thanksgiving Dinner. Our Chapter Christmas Party is in December and a great time to reflect on accomplishments & milestones of the past year.
